MEMORANDUM 

TO:  Permitting Personnel, Inspectors, Service Permit Applicants 

FROM:  Ken Jackson, Building Inspections Administrator 

SUBJECT:  Electric Services for well pumps, electrified fences, motorized gates, etc. when no Building Permit has been issued. 

We will issue 100 amp maximum rated services with one disconnect only for the purposes listed above on property that does not otherwise have a building permit issued.  The service is not permitted to provide power for any other purpose.  An outlet may be provided if needed for the appliance proposed.  These are not “saw services” or “temporary services”.  “Saw services” are only allowed in conjunction with a Building Permit, and are not limited to a maximum size.
