On May 16 &17, 2013, the Gaston County Police arrested 18 people as part of a warrant round-up following numerous narcotics-related investigations and undercover operations.

On 05/12/2013 the Gaston County Police Department charged Crystal Stamey Ball, age 34 and Mark Allen Ball, age 44 with (12) counts of Food Stamp Fraud and (12) counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.

County Police To Conduct Citizens Police Academy for Youth

The Gaston County Police Department will hold its annual Citizens’ Police Academy for Youth from Monday, July 15, 2013 through Friday, July 19, 2013. Class sessions will be held at County Police Headquarters, 420 W. Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, NC.
