JCPC is Seeking Applications

The Gaston County Juvenile Prevention Council (JCPC) is seeking applications for funding juvenile justice and prevention services for the remainder of fiscal year 2019-2020 in the amount of $83, 861.  The North Carolina Department Public Safety, Division of Adult Corrections and Juvenile Justice (DACJJ) allocated funds to Gaston County in fiscal year 2019-2020 in the amount of $530,721.  The use of the additional DACJJ funds in this county does not require a local cash nor in-kind match.

Any public or private non-profit agency may apply for these funds.  Priority will be given to proposals for services that will be used by the Juvenile Court as dispositional options: Vocational Skills/Structured Day, Restitution, Substance Abuse Treatment, Parent/Family Skills, Teen Court, Psychological Assessment, Interpersonal Skills, Home Based Family Counseling, Mentoring, Sex Offender Treatment and Life Skills as per North Carolina General Statute (NCGS) 7B-2506 or 2503; or as a resource for intake diversion plans or contracts, as specified in NCGS 1706.
