Tournament Ballfield Usage
The Gaston County Parks & Recreation Dept. will hold a baseball/softball tournament spring 2020 scheduling meeting on Saturday December 14 at 12pm at the Gaston Co Senior Center located at 1303 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034. At the meeting we will go over the tournament scheduling rules, parks rules, fee schedule, and take requests for the 2020 season. The Gaston County Parks and Recreation Department is taking applications for Spring 2020 ballfield usage The deadline for all applications is Monday December 30, 2019. Applications may be mailed to the address on the facility usage form or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can download the form from the county website or contact the recreation dept. Applications received after December 30 will not be guaranteed any time on Gaston County fields. Staff will review all applications and send field confirmations by Friday January 17, 2020. If you have an outstanding balance due your application will be held until the balance is paid in full.
Fields are available at the following parks:
George Poston Park – soccer (games only- fields are not available until 3/1/2020) and baseball/softball
Dallas Park – baseball/softball
Bessemer City Park – baseball/softball and soccer
North Belmont Park – baseball/softball and soccer
Tryon Park – baseball/softball and soccer
Pearl Henderson Park – baseball/softball and soccer
Beam Elementary – soccer
Bess Elementary – baseball/softball and soccer
Catawba Heights – baseball/softball
Chapel Grove Elementary – baseball/softball and soccer
New Hope Elementary – baseball/softball and soccer
Pinewood Elementary – soccer
Robinson Elementary – baseball/soccer and soccer
We receive athletic field requests from many different organizations and teams. Please keep this in mind when requesting time for your organization. A good rule of thumb is to limit requests to two (2) practice times per team per week – especially for heavily used fields.
Facility Application Tournaments
