Resources for Uninsured or Low-Income Residents:
We recognize that not everyone in our community can access healthcare due to financial constraints. However, resources are available for individuals and families who do not have insurance. Some of these resources include:
- HealthNet Gaston – Provides uninsured and low-income Gaston County residents access to a medical home or regular doctor. They offer prescription medication assistance, limited specialty health care, labs, diagnostic aid, health coaching, and other hospital services.
- Cramerton Ministerial Relief Fund – This fund provides financial assistance for utilities.
- Belmont Community Organization – The nonprofit agency provides free food, clothing, groceries, furniture/housewares, and limited financial assistance programs.
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) – Community-based healthcare providers offering comprehensive primary care services to underserved populations, including uninsured and underinsured.
- Medicaid - This government-funded healthcare program provides medical insurance to individuals and families who have limited income and resources.
