Dog Park opens at 7 am daily and closes at sunset.
No animals other than dogs may be brought into the fenced area.
All dogs must be leashed until safely inside the first dog park gate and returned to the leash prior to exiting. At least one gate must be closed and securely latched at all times. Do not open a gate if a dog is loose between the entry gates; wait until the entryway is clear. Ensure each gate closes behind you before you enter the next one and visually check all gates before unleashing your dog.
Dog owners must remain in the same fenced area while their dogs are used in the dog park.
Owners must be in view of their dogs and have voice control at all times. Owners must maintain a leash on-hand for their dogs at all times.
Children accompanying dog owners must be strictly supervised. No one under age 14 is permitted in the dog park without adult supervision. Spectators should remain outside the fenced area.
Separate areas for Small and Large Dogs are provided. The Small Dog area is designated for dogs 25 pounds or less. Owners are encouraged to use the appropriate area for their dogs.
The following dogs are not permitted at the dog park:

Acts of aggression against other dogs or people are prohibited. It is the duty of the owner to remove their dog in the case of aggressive behavior.
Owners must dispose of waste properly in the designated on-site containers.
Owners must stop their dogs from digging and must fill any hole created by their dogs.
No smoking, eating, or glass containers are permitted in the dog park. No dog food, bones, or dog chews are permitted in the dog park. Bite-sized training treats are permitted as long as they are administered by the dog owner.
Strollers, bicycles, children's riding toys, and skateboards are not permitted in the dog park.
Professional dog trainers are not permitted to use the facility to conduct business unless prior approval is granted by Gaston County Parks and Recreation.
No more than three dogs per person are allowed on a single visit.
Dogs must be licensed and vaccinated for rabies and DHLPP. Current license and rabies tags must be worn on the dog's collar at all times. Prong and spike collars are not allowed inside the dog park area.
