In Memory of Officer Randy M. Pendleton
On February 5, 1979 Gaston County Police Officer Randy M. Pendleton made the supreme sacrifice while assisting other officers in the apprehension of a dangerous felon. Officer Pendleton's patrol car was struck broadside at a high rate speed by the fleeing suspect resulting in the death of this valiant officer. Through this page, we hope to honor the bravery and professionalism of our fallen comrade and friend.
Each day, Police Officers across America put their life on the line to preserve the freedom and security we enjoy; sadly, many make the ultimate sacrifice each year.
