The Gaston County Police Explorer Program is an educational and experience-based program designed to help young people develop into mature and responsible adults. Gaston County Police Department Explorers are given the opportunity to learn all facets of police work. The program meets twice a month, every other Monday, 6 to 8 pm. Explorers also participate in Department parades, crime prevention events, and assist with Gaston County Police functions.
