Draw the Line, Respect the Line is a program for middle school-aged students centered on teaching them how to develop personal limits, improve their ability to communicate boundaries to peers, and learn and practice refusal skills. This program is a primary prevention program that encourages communication, promotes responsible citizenship, provides comprehensive sex education, and builds self-confidence among participants. In short, we teach students how to draw their line and respect others as well.
We aim to teach over 200 students this curriculum each school year. In the past, we have been able to measure participants’ knowledge before and after the program and saw an overall increase in correct responses.
