[ARCHIVED] Safe Kids Gaston County Celebrates 7th Annual Child Safety Fair

WHO: Gaston County Police Department & Safe Kids of Gaston County

WHERE: 6700 Wilkinson Blvd. Belmont NC (Parking lot of The Pointe Church)

WHEN: May 6th, 2023 – 10AM to 2PM

WHAT:  Safe Kids Gaston County in coordination with the Gaston County Police, Gastonia City Police, and Gastonia City Fire Department is hosting a FREE Child Safety Fair, to celebrate kids and help families learn simple things they can do to keep kids safe.  The 7th Annual event is free to the public and will include a child safety seat inspection station, along with information in other areas of safety to include fire safety, gun safety, medication safety and disposal, hyperthermia, water safety, animal safety, and much more.   Professionals will be on hand to discuss, answer questions, and provide free resources and materials on safety related topics.  The event will also include free hot dogs, and drinks and other snacks.

WHY: Every year, a million families around the world lose a child to a preventable injury. In fact, preventable injuries are the number one killer of kids in the U.S. The Safe Kids Child Safety Fair is an opportunity to raise awareness and provide free resources to celebrate kids, prevent injuries and save lives.
