[ARCHIVED] Gaston County Police makes Drug Trafficking Arrests

K9 Ebo with seized narcotics and stolen firearm

On October 13, 2023, officers from the County Police K-9 Unit with assistance from the Community Policing Division apprehended three suspected drug traffickers.  Around 11:15 pm, A K-9 Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Chevy Malibu on C.P. Groves Road off Crowders Creek Road in the southern part of Gaston County.  The vehicle fled a short distance before stopping and two male subjects fled on foot.  Officers secured a female passenger in the vehicle along with a large amount of narcotics and a firearm.  K-9 Ebo was used to successfully track one of the suspects, who was taken into custody without incident.  The other male suspect was located a short time later by officers securing the perimeter of the scene.   

Officers seized approximately 1 pound of Methamphetamine, 50 grams of Fentanyl, a stolen firearm, and marijuana.  The three suspects from the vehicle, Alejandro Pena, Carlos Pena, and Cesia Enamorado, face a litany of charges to include Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapons, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana.  The Gaston County Police remains steadfast in its dedication to combatting the flow of dangerous narcotics into our communities.
