Can property owned by an individual be eligible for tax exemption?: Technically, if the owner meets all the requirements for the classification that is being applied for, there is a chance that they can be tax-exempt on their property. The most commonly seen individually owned properties that are tax-exempt are properties used for burial sites, historical properties, and brownfield exclusions.
