Gaston County Preps Voters for Election Day
Gastonia, N.C. – Board of Elections officials want to make sure voters are fully prepared with ‘good need to know’ information when they head to the polls on Tuesday, March 3 for the 2020 Primary Elections. The goal is to help avoid any issues during this crucial election.
“My goal for every election is to have excellent voter participation and enjoyable voting experiences at each early voting location or Election Day polling place,” said Dr. Adam Ragan, Director of Elections at the Gaston County Board of Elections.
All the precincts will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. to give voters plenty of time to get to their voting location. Anyone still in line when the polls close can still cast their ballot.
Voters do not need to have photo identification to vote. However, they may be asked to verify their name and address. There will also be volunteers on site to help with curbside voting for those citizens who need additional assistance.
“If voters have an issue on Election Day, they can contact the Board of Elections office at and we can look into any situation,” said Ragan.
