Gaston County to Give Health Screenings at Budget Meeting
GASTONIA, N.C. – At the Board of Commissioners’ special meeting Tuesday night for a public hearing on Gaston County’s FY21 budget, the County will be providing health screenings for anyone who desires to attend.
Screenings will involve answering two questions related to COVID-19 and having a temperature scan. Those with temperatures above 100.4 degrees will not be admitted. This is the same screening process currently in place for employees at county facilities.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at the Harley B. Gaston Public Forum at the Gaston County Courthouse, 325 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, in Gastonia.
The budget hearing allows for speakers to make comment specifically on the budget process only. There is no citizen recognition segment included, as the regular Board of Commissioners meeting for this evening was canceled.
Citizens wishing to speak on other topics may do so before the board at its next regularly scheduled meeting, Tuesday, June 23rd.
