Learn to Cook Using Fresh Herbs in Online Workshop
GASTON COUNTY, N.C. – If you are looking to discover some fresh flavor ideas for your summer meals, the North Carolina Cooperative Extension plans to hold several online sessions of its popular “Cooking Smart with Fresh Herbs” course. The sessions will be held on April 14, June 16, and July 22. Those interested only need to attend one session.
The one-hour class will be packed full of information from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants will learn about flavor and food combinations, as well as how to store and prepare the herbs. In addition, they will get recipes to help them eat smart with less added salt, sugar, and fat.
“Individuals are often very interested in using fresh herbs, but not certain how to add them to their recipes, or concerned their families won't like them,” said Linda Minges, a program instructor.
There is no charge to participants, but you must register within five business days of the workshop you want to attend. To register or for more information, contact Linda J. Minges, with North Carolina Cooperative Extension, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 704-922-2127. For online registration, visit eventbrite.com and type in the name/date of the workshop you want to join.
