GCLMPO Public Comment Period to Amend the 2020-2029 MTIP and the 2045 MTP
THE GASTON-CLEVELAND-LINCOLN METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (GCLMPO) HAS ESTABLISHED A PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD TO AMEND THE 2020-2029 METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (MTIP)
AND THE 2045 METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN (MTP) FOR PROJECT
C-5704: CRAMERTON-MCADENVILLE GREENWAY CONNECTOR (RIVER LINK GREENWAY PH 2)
The documents will be available for review and public comments will be received from April 1 – April 30, 2021.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) identifies the transportation projects that GCLMPO and NCDOT plan to undertake over the next ten years. The GCLMPO’s 2020-2029 MTIP is being modified to reflect the following amendments to the 2020-2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP):
Cramerton-McAdenville Greenway Connector. Construct greenway connecting paved trail at South Fork Village in Cramerton to Riverside Drive in McAdenville, following the South Fork of the Catawba River.
ADD PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING, RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND CONSTRUCTION IN FY 21 AT THE REQUEST OF THE MPO.
FY 21 - $78,000 (CMAQ)
FY 21 - $41,000 (CMAQ)
FY 21 - $321,000 (CMAQ)
In addition, the GCLMPO’s 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) needs to be amended to include C-5704: Cramerton-McAdenville Greenway Connector as a new bike/ped project in HY 2025.
